Hot Water Systems
No hot water is not a wait-until-next-week problem. ProFix repairs and replaces electric, gas and heat pump hot water systems across Brisbane's western suburbs — most standard replacements are completed within a few hours.
You get honest advice on whether repair or replacement is the better long-term value, a fixed price before work begins, along with our current $199 off any hot water system replacement discount.
Repair or replace? An honest answer first
We always assess the system before recommending anything. If a repair is practical and cost-effective, that's what we'll recommend. If the unit is at the end of its life — rusty water, poor recovery, rising bills, repeated faults — we'll explain why replacement is the better spend and lay out your options by household size, energy source and budget. The decision stays yours, made with real information.
What a replacement involves
We safely isolate and disconnect the old system — and for standard electric systems we disconnect and reconnect the electrical supply ourselves under our Restricted Electrical Licence (1510503), so there's no separate electrician to organise or wait for. The new system is installed with quality valves and fittings to Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements, tested thoroughly (leaks, temperature, safety devices), and the old unit is removed. Before we leave, you'll know exactly how your new system works.
Quality brands, honest recommendations
We supply and install systems from brands we trust to last: Rheem, with Everhot as a reliable budget-friendly option, for electric storage systems — and Rinnai and Thermann for gas instantaneous units. All equipment and fittings are sourced through Reece, so what goes into your home is quality trade product, chosen for your household rather than pulled from a bargain shelf.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can my hot water system be repaired, or does it need replacing?
01
We assess first. If a repair is practical and cost-effective we'll recommend it; if replacement offers better long-term value we'll explain why and give you options — with a fixed price either way.
How long does a hot water system replacement take?
02
Most standard replacements are completed within a few hours, depending on the system type and any required upgrades. Same-day replacement is often possible — call early.
Which hot water system is best for my home?
03
It depends on household size, hot water usage, available energy source and budget. We'll explain the pros and cons of electric, gas and heat pump options and help you choose — no upselling.
Do you remove the old unit?
04
Yes — removal and disposal of your old system is part of the installation.
